Just recently, we were introduced to a bride who celebrated her special day with family and friends at the local Cottontop Wedding Venue in Norway, South Carolina. Connecting two worlds, we were able create a one of a kind replica of the lovely bride’s wedding bouquet in a pressed design and custom jewelry, using the wedding flowers. We had the opportunity to chat with the mother of the bride and manager of the wonderful, wedding venue and wanted to share a small wealth of information about the scenic treasure hidden in Norway, South Carolina.
An hour south of Columbia, South Carolina lies a quaint historic home that offers more than just a beautiful wrap-around porch. Surrounded by over three- hundred and fifty winding grape vines and many welcoming oak and pecan trees, sits an adorable family owned special event venue.
Karen Dyches Brown, great grand-daughter of the builder, is the manager of this charming piece of real-estate and for several years she has been sharing her passion for southern hospitality with lovely brides and those who are just passing through.

Decorate with Cottontop's very own rustic lanterns, add small tea light candles to the mason jars, and set up a drink station using their old serving cart. You will enjoy a leisurely day of pampering with your bridesmaids in the spacious, elegantly appointed house. Don't worry about the men, there is a fully stocked pond your soon-to-be husband and his groomsmen can enjoy- or they can take a chance at a game of pool in the billiard room. Your guests will celebrate your special day in and around the wine building, complete with oak wine barrels and wine vats. The grounds surrounding the house and wine building invite your guests to step back in time, to reminisce of by-gone days, and bask in the peacefulness of the rural setting.
